Token hunger strike against NGO held in Badin

BADIN Oct 12: The large number of the villagers and local youths of Badin district have held a token hunger strike for several hours and protest against NGO.

Reportedly, A large number of villagers and youths of different cities and towns of district Badin led by Kabir Ahmed Jamali, Muhammad Usman Mallah, Muhammad Sharif Junejo, Rasul Bux Mallah and others have held token hunger strike and protest on Wednesday in front of Badin Press Club for several hours against NGO and others different Govt departments for its injustice with local skilled and educated youths in their recruitment.

While addressing the protesters, representatives of youths and civil society including Muhammad Usman Mallah, Kabir Ahmed Jamali, Rasul Bux and others deplored that NGO, SRSO and others different Govt departments were gravely ignoring the skilled and educated youth of Badin in their recruitment process adding that outsider were being hired on handsome packages in the district.

Adding they alleged that the project billions was being launched in district Badin by NGO, Sindh Rural Support Organization (SRSO) in collaboration with Sindh Govt. NGO, authorities despite conducting interviews at Badin, have conducted interviews at Sukkur adding they alleged that favored and outsider candidates of NGO authorities were hired for project.

They alleged that after advertisement of the hiring in NGO, as according to protesters hundreds of skilled and educated youths of Badin have applied through proper channel but they were even not shortlisted adding they termed this as serious injustice with people of Badin.

They appealed to Deputy Commissioner Badin, district chairman, district council Badin and others higher authorities to take the immediate notice of the matter and stern action against NGO for its injustice with local people of Badin.
