Three killed, two injured in road accidents in Shikarpur

SHIKARPUR Apr 21: A speeding wedding car was plunged into a deep ditch at Shikarpur-Larkana Indus highway near Dakhan Town in the limits of Dakhan Police Station in which two persons were killed while two other occupants of the car sustained injuries while another incident took place at Lakhi Ghulam Shah diversion in the limits of Lakhi Ghulam Shah Police Station, on Friday.
According to police, a speeding wedding car which was coming from Larkana towards Garhi Yasin town was went out of control from its driver and plunged into a deep ditch, which resulting, car driver identified as Ali Murad, 28, by caste Bihan and other car occupant identified as Amir Khakhrani, 25, were killed on the spot whereas two other occupants of the car named Afaque Kakepoto and Fawad Soomro sustained severe wounds and instantly were referred to Chandka Medical College Hospital for medical treatment where the condition of the injured said to be critical.
The area police handed over to bodies to their heirs after conducting post-mortem examinations at Garhi Yasin Hospital.
It should be mentioned here that the marriage party of Atif Ali Soomro, resident of Garhi Yasin, was returning to Garhi Yasin after marriage held at Larkana, when incident occurred.
Separately, a motorcyclist identified as Zahid Hussain, 22, son of Rasool Bakhsh Khoso was killed when a speeding Mazda vehicle collided with him at Lakhi Ghulam Shah Moor, which resulting he sustained severe wounds and succumbed to his injuries on the way to Sukkur Hospital.
The area police taken into custody Mazda vehicle and detained Mazda driver.
An FIR was not registered till this story was filed.
