SPO is bridge between villagers and the administration: Abida Zafar

SHIKARPUR Dec 23: A public event to mobilize support for National plan of Action, international convention on Economic, Social & cultural Rights [ICESCR] was organized by Strengthening Participatory Organization Sindh at Gymkhana Shikarpur here on Wednesday.
Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur Abid Saleem Qureshi was the chief guest in the program while Abdul Wahid Sangrasi the coordinator of SPO Sindh was the honour guest on the occasion.
The resident of different villages of four Talukas of Shikarpur district including Khanpur, Lakhi Ghulam Shah, Garhi Yasin and Shikarpur raised their voice for their outstanding problems including paddy crop prices, child problems, implementation of laws, lack of health facilities, according to sanctioned strength of school posting of school teachers in the schools.
The meeting reviewed the previous activities and discussed on the topic of Recommendation of economic rights, Recommendation for social security and Recommendation for the cultural rights.
Speaking on the occasion Abida Zafar the district coordinator of SPO Shikarpur said that SPO is playing its role like bridge between villagers and the administration to facilities them in order to address their issues adding that their issues will be communicated to the Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur for early solution of their problems.
Deputy Commissioner Shikarpur Abid Saleem Qureshi hailed the efforts of SPO while assured the participants that the outstanding problems would be resolved very soon.
The appreciation Shields and certificates were also awarded amongst participants.
