Larkana police destroys poppy crop cultivated over four acres

LARKANA Mar 09: Larkana police have destroyed poppy crops cultivated over four acres during raid conducted before dawn, on the information, within the remits of Aqil Police Station, here on Thursday.
According to SHO Akil Police Station, Athar Channa that acting on tip-off, Police raided on poppy field and destroyed four acres field while Police have seized poppy worth Rs25,000/= from the field which was ready for dispatching to other cities while Police also registered case against poppy growers at concerned police station.
Separately, Larkana Police have launched anti dacoit operation against active criminals to eliminate crimes from grass route level in this regard Bakhrani police has arrested one notorious dacoit, here on same day.
According to an officer that during the police raid in the vicinity of Bakrani police station, police have succeeded to arrest one notorious bandit namely Liaquat khurhro and seized one TT Pistol from his possession.
Arrested criminal was wanted to police of districts viz shikarpur, Larkana while he was involved in more than 15 cases of heinous nature like kidnapping for ransom, highway dacoities, robberies and police encounter cases.
Senior Superintendent of Police [SSP] Larkana, Umar Tufail said in his message that its prime responsibility of police to maintain law and order situation in the district while no one would be allowed to take law into their own hands if any found in violating laws made by Sindh government who would be treated with iron hands.
