CSSP holds meeting on “Protection of women and our responsibility”

SHIKARPUR Feb 14: The Civil Society Support Program [CSSP] district Kashmore-Kandhkot in collaboration with Enhanced Democratic Accountability and Civic Engagement [EDACE] organized the 4th monthly meeting with Human Rights Defender Group [HRDG] on the subject “protection of women and our responsibility” at local hotel on Sunday.
The Afzal Shaikh from Larkana as a chief guest presided over the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion the chief guest Afzal Shaikh, Saidia Khokhar, Syed Zahid Ali Shah, Samreen Khan Pathan, Raza Nonari said that according to women rights the equality of the women have also preserved in the country law as well as the women rights including their equality has been reserved in Islam in which according to teachings of Islam the men and the women have given the equal rights in order to struggle jointly for improvement of socio-economic life of the people collectively as well as to build the fate of the county and its people because of without restoration of mutual cooperation and coordination neither the country could be developed nor the women and men genders could achieve their collective aims and objects of life.
Furthermore Speakers highlighted the issues like gender discrimination, domestic violence and exploitation of womenfolk on class, religion and other grounds and urged at civil society that who will have to come forward for betterment of the society while civil society could play their vital role to build a great society whereas the real worship is serve for society.
Raza Noonari informed the participants that people can register their complaints against violence and injustice pertaining women in this regard CSSP have established a help line desk No. 0800-08022 at SSP Office Kashmore-Kandhkot.
HRDG member Mst Leelan, Madam Mumtaz, Raja Gopi Chand, Kaleem Khilji, Mumtaz Sindhi, Fakir Gokal das, Yasir Awan, Gopi Ram Sachidev, Imdadullah Khoso, Sachal Shaikh, Ahmed Bakhsh Channa and other were also present on the occasion.
