THATTA Mar 01: Sindh Police Thatta district has seized incredibly large cache of imported liquor worth of Rs 40 million at Sakro town, district Thatta on Wednesday.
According to reports, on tip off a police team under the supervision of SSP, Thatta, Fida Hussain Mastoi raided the vicinity of coast of Kaloi at Sakro, district Thatta and seized two Mazda Vehicles laden with 5000 bottles of imported liquor worth of Rs. 40 million. SSP, Thatta was of the point that a large of cache of imported liquor was smuggled through the sea route adding he observed that international gangsters are involvers in the smuggling of the imported liquor and investigation have been initiated, he added. The police sources apprised this scribe that the imported liquor was of worth of more than Rs. 40 million. When during the raided accused success to escape on the spot leaving the vehicles. “Raids were being conducted to arrest the suspects involved in liquor smuggling”. SHO Raj Kumar, Sakro added. Other hand, police is conducting the raids for the arrest of the suspects accused but till filling up this report, accused could arrest the smugglers.
