US war on terror aimed at grabbing resources of Asia: JUI-F chief

ISLAMABAD Mar. 27: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman has said that US war was not against terrorists or Muslims but aimed at grabbing the resource of Asia.

Talking to journalists after his return from visit to China here on Thursday, he said that presently China was leading the Asian economy and it wanted to reach Finland via Moscow. He said that Pak-China friendship was historical and time tested which should be strengthened further.

Fazl urged the government to review the economic zone route and making Gwadar Seaport operational as soon as possible. The JUI-F chief said that China to fulfill its agenda of supremacy of economic sector was also keen to invest in Pakistan which will benefit both the countries.

To a question regarding formation of the judicial commission (JC) to probe allegations of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) of massive rigging in general election, he said that the PTI was looking for any ground to return to assemblies which the JC provided to them but he has some reservation over the formation of the commission.

Fazl said that he would soon hold meeting with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to inform him about reservations on formation of the JC.
