Shikarpur: Save the children holds joint review meeting for better health of mother and children

SHIKARPUR Dec 27:A Joint Review Meeting with Stakeholders was arranged by Save the Children at a local hotel here in Shikarpur on Monday evening.
A Joint Review Meeting with collaboration of Department of Health was held at Kundan Hotel Shikarpur in which, Department of Health staff including, Doctors, all Medical Superintendents of hospitals, District Coordinator National Program, People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative-PPHI and others representatives of different NGOs/INGOs, Population Welfare Department, representative of Civil Society, Media persons etc shared their update status with the Stakeholders for well being of better health of mother and children regarding Antenatal Care and Family Planning and Post Abortion Care.
District Health Officer Dr. Khursheed Ahmed Qazi chaired the Joint Review Meeting.
Dr. Zubair Soomro Senior Health Manager Save the Children while presenting the presentation informed the participants about ongoing Integrated maternal Newborn& Child Health in Sindh-IMNCH program and shared the update regarding the program.
Field Office Muhammad Waqas Field Officer, Misbah Anjum Sr. Community Mobilization Officer also gave their presentation regarding the Family Planning and Post Abortion Care services which are providing free of cost at Health Facility. Meanwhile Fahad Kamanger Nutrition Officer of Save the Children also present the presentation regarding the Nutrition services which are available at 45 Health Facilities of District Shikarpur and shared the updates with Stakeholders.
Among others, Ghulam Muhammad Shaikh MEAL Officer of People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative-PPHI Sindh appreciated the quality work of repair and renovation of 19 Health Facilities by Save the Children which are running under PPHI.
District Health Officer Dr. Khursheed Ahmed Qazi while paying his closing remarks lauded the services of Save the Children for well being of the masses specially for better health of Mother & Child and said that Save the Children is working with close coordination of Department of Health.
The large number of male and female participants and stakeholders attended the Joint Review Meeting.
