BADIN Sep 22: Food security is an emerging big issue of the world and Govt of Pakistan and Provincial Govts must ensure proper the implementation of the policy regarding food security.
These views were expressed by Haji Allah Dino Chandio, Vice Chairman, District Council Badin while addressing the participants of the district level advocacy forum with stakeholders on issue of food security and livelihood and role of stakeholders and importance of the food security policy organized by Plan International Pakistan on Thursday at Gym Khana Badin.
Addressing the participants, Mr. Chandio said that all stakeholders have to unite and make proper planning to cope up the issue of food security properly adding that district Govt would play its role and facilitate the civil society for meeting the milestones. This event was participated by large number of the participants hailing from different social organizations and Govt departments.
Abdul Ghafar Khoso, Deputy Director, Social Welfare Department, addressing the participants said that Sindh was facing the many issues among the food security is major issue of the province. Adding he said that there is a dire need to be united to face this emerging issue.
Mr. Khoso added that it was our prior responsibility to make concrete planning for overwhelm the food security issues. On the occasion, Tanveer Ahmed Arain, President, Badin Press Club, Wajid Shams Memon, Anwar Azad Mehar, Faiz Udhejo and others also addressed the participants of the program.
