The informative book on the “Flows of The Mighty Rivers” launched

BADIN Jul 16: The book launching ceremony of book authored by known writer Mohammad Usman Rahukro on the flows of Indus and Hakro rivers was organized by Sindh Graduates Association (SGA) in Tando Bago Press Club on the other day.
The writers, poets historians, journalists and the members of the civil society speaking on the occasion highly lauded the efforts of Mr. Rahukro for penning down a very informative book on the flows of the mighty rivers and their civilizations past and present.
The renowned poet and writer Ayub Khoso speaking on the occasion said that it was the need of the hour to know about the rich civilizations of the rivers and their flows in the past when the rivers were hub all human activities.
He said that writer despite the serious ailment searched extensively and visited various both in Sindh and Punjab to gather the good stock of the flows of both great rivers .
Mr. Khoso said that Mr. Rahukro beautifully narrated the existing flows and those faced extinction centuries ago adding he said that like Indus Hakro was once a great river, which used to flow from areas of lower parts of Sindh.
Mr. Peeral Khoso, the central vice chairman of SGA speaking on the occasion highly lauded the work of Mr Rahukro and the concerned functionaries of Sindh Govt to step in and encourage such writers, who were contributing to history, culture and literature of Sindh. ” Usman deserves to be given an award for his masterpiece ” he added and said that a great labour by a simple soul.
Mr. Khoso said that his organization was ready encourage such writers, whose splendid works could be published for want of the required funds.

Professor Dr. Ismail Memon speaking during the event said that the writer, like his previous books, had worked very hard to reveal many hidden facts of the flows, which were hitherto unknown to many people adding he said that book was authored after the great research and observation. Dr. Memon said that the book would greatly prove a guide for those, who wished to know the flows of both rivers especially of Hakro, which had exited to cease to number of the reasons including the natural disasters. The known poet Nakash Alwani said that writing on flows and water issues was the need of the hour in the wake of depleting water resources and the writer had done great job by writing a book on very sensitive subject . He said Mr. Rahukro had written a wonderful, which would prove another authentic book on the flows and would greatly help those, who were intrested in the centuries old history of mighty Indus rivers.

The writer of the book, Mohammad Usman Rahukro said that he had undertaken a task to write a book on the flows of both rivers as challenge despite going through the worst days of life due to serious sickness since he was also residing on the back of the vanished bank of Hakro river. He said that there were still bed of the river in various areas of Sindh adding he said that it was mission to write a book during his life on the dead river of Hakro and mighty Indus River. Mr. Rahukro said that number of the local, national and international writers had written a lot on Indus but only few bothered to write on the rivers which long died down and very little was available marial on causes of those rivers including Hakro, Puran and others, which in the ancient times were mighty rivers. He vowed to write more books on the rich history of the region as well as on other topic like devastation being caused by sea intrusion due to no water being released in the areas in lower parts of Sindh. Taj Baloch, Ashfaq Ahmed Memon, Mohib Bheel, Khalil Khoso, Suleman khaskheli, Khaki Jani, Khalid Channa, Manzoor Samoon, Allah Bachayo Rahukro, Ghulam Mustafa Jamali and others also spoke on the occasion.
